New Volunteers Attend Training

In preparation for the start of the Winter Session, 22 volunteers attended Volunteer Training held earlier this month, with ten receiving advanced training in horse handling. They learned how to provide safety to our riders during therapeutic riding classes and how to handle and lead the horses. Thank you to all our new volunteers!

Largest Group Ever at Our Fall Volunteer Orientation

A record number of individuals, families and groups attended our Fall Volunteer Orientation, in preparation for our Fall Session! These committed volunteers learned how to horse handle and side walk for our clients during equitherapy class sessions. We're so very appreciative of all our volunteers and the gift they bring to our center. Thank you! If you or your group would like to join us, providing equine-assisted therapeutic programs for children and adults with disabilities, wounded warriors and at-risk youth, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Keisha Laughy at (830) 510-9515 or email at Keisha@Triple-H.org.

Volunteer at Triple H Equitherapy Center and share in the joy of seeing the miraculous healing of equine assisted therapy. We couldn't carry out our mission without the assistance of volunteers. All volunteers who assist in the program as horse handlers or as side walkers are trained using the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) standards.

Volunteers Are the Heart of Triple H!

Nearly 70% of our program staffing is provided by our devoted volunteers, specifically in Horse Handler and Side Walker positions.

Our volunteers are a diverse collection of teenagers, couples, families, civic groups and corporate teams. Some are committed to serving those with disabilities, some are moved to serve the military, some just love to work with horses, or in the outdoors.

Whatever may be their motivation, these treasured individuals and groups make it possible for us to do what we do. And, their commitment to our mission is our most valued resource!
